Corporate social responsibility is not a term we hear often in Saudi Arabia. Yet it is becoming more and more important in the fields of business and development. A new wave of advocates and thinkers believe that a synergy between corporate and social concerns is possible. Advocates believe that businesses can still make a profit while working with the government and community to address social challenges.
Business is one of the oldest occupations in human history and, in some way, was behind the economic developments that we have been encountering. In the old times, there were no business schools and people used their experience and intelligence to sustain their businesses. One of the first business schools that were introduced in history was the Islamic Business System.
